Welcome!

Welcome to the photography portfolio of Michael John Dunker; an aspiring young photographer born outside the city of Chicago, IL. After high school he served four years active duty in the United States Air Force receiving an honorable discharge. Michael used the benefits from the Air Force to attend Michigan State University studying psychology and film.

Michael has always had an interest in anything that allows him to express his creativity. It was late 2006 when he found his passion for photography while working on an independent film that had no still photographer. Michael was asked to take several still shots; once the producers saw the shots he had taken during the early stages of filming, he was asked to finish the film as their still photographer.

After graduating and returning to Chicago, he worked at a local pizza shop until he had enough money to purchase his first camera. He has since traveled around the world finding inspiration, holding on to the belief that everything in this world has beauty, if viewed from the right angle.

He is currently living in Los Angeles CA and working in the film industry.
